Slipped in shop but need advice please

I would like to know if you could help me please as I had a accident yesterday at a the shop while shopping a piece of flooring was sticking up which I didn't see at the time & fell causing me to be in a lot of pain which I now gave a fracture in my left hand & bruising to my chest. I’m abit wary of making a claim because I’m on universal credit, would compensation affect my payments??

Hi, sorry to hear that. You can definitely still make a claim and it wouldn’t affect your benefits in anyway. The only time UC payments are reduced is through work purposes or if your personal savings exceed £16,000 so you should be absolutely fine if yours are less than this.
