Accident at tip

At local council tip I stood on a nail which went right into my left foot, I asked for first aid kit which had very little in it apart from plasters and wipes. It was a rusty nail approx 6cm and you could see maybe 1 cm of the tip coming out of the top of my foot. I had nail removed at A&E with tetanus jab etc and now council don't want to know. How do i take this further??

Hiya Hirly. Sounds painful! I hope you recover form that quickly. If you wanted to take this further and claim for compensation you can do so with a personal injury solicitor. You can give them the councils details and they can apply for all the insurance information about the tip and take it further on your behalf.
