Can I claim compensation for a broken jaw for an assault in prison?

I was assaulted in prison and had to have an operation that day I had my jaw bone broken broken and lost 4 teeth how much could i claim?

It was not seen by the guards or caught on camera or CCTV because they were understaffed and I was attacked in a blind spot.
Can I claim compensation for an assault at prison?
