Can I claim compensation for a work related injury from my current employer?

I had an accident at work that was not my fault and twisted my ankle, can I claim compensation for a work related injury?
I'm just wondering if I can claim 3 months after incident or if there is a time limit to claim compensation?

I twisted my ankle while working on this building site, my foot got caught in a gap between some scaffolding boards, I panicked because I was dangerously high up and though I was going to fall and badly twisted my ankle trying to get free safely.

I still have problems with the ankle. Still fell pain and can't move ankle like before and walk with a limp.
I'm just wondering if I can still claim or say next 2 months?
The reason is because I'm still working based in this company we're this accident happened and I'm afraid that I can have problems due to claim and I don't want to lose my job.

Can I claim compensation from a work related injury while still employed?

How much money could I be entitled to for a severely twisted ankle from a accident at work?
