Hello, I am looking to claim compensation for a work related injury and would like some free legal advice before I take action against my employer.
What would be classed as a minor shoulder injury? I am about to have a steroid injection to my shoulder and unable to fully use my arm after 6 months.
I am a labourer on a building site for Vinci and felt pressured into moving heavy loads of rubble in buckets hoisted on my shoulder, I felt uncomfortable doing this but felt I had to and I was straining my back carrying them any other way.
The next day my shoulder was in a lot of pain and I have not been able to raise my arm above my head.
I have worked through the pain but feel like it has prevented me from recovering properly, but I cant take time off because I need the money, would I be able to claim lost wages if I took time off with a work related injury?
Thank you, any advice is appreciated.
Also would I loose my job if I made a claim for a work related injury? And would claiming against my employer effect my chances of being employed in future?
Thanks
