Hi just having a look for some free legal advice about claiming for a grieving.
My father was killed in a road traffic accident last year, the car crash was not his fault.
We are still dealing with the estate as he did not leave a will and anything I am entitled to from his estate is getting smaller and smaller with all the work involved that we are having to pay from the funds held and inheritance tax and other stupid costs.
He was only 46 years old and we had no financial dependency on him but I am is still his blood relative and feel that I am being overlooked by everyone concerned with the accident, as is my older step brother who owns his own home, so obviously he has no financial dependency either.
But we do however have the trauma of growing up without ever seeing our father again. I know that money will not bring him back but feel that we are losing out especially as his other family are getting everything, is there any thing I can do or does the lack of financial dependency stop this?
