Can I claim compensation from my employer for injures caused by a lack of PPE and training?

I have had a accident at work broke two toes, one of which was ripped open. I have lost 3 weeks pay.

i dropped a big piece material on my foot and I was not provided with steel toe cap boots or gloves to grip the material so my grip slipped, hurt my hands and and I dropped the material injuring my foot because of a lack of PPE.

Can I claim compensation because of injuries because of a lack of training and PPE?

Thank you for your enquiry.

This must have been incredibly painful.

I am pleased to advise that based on the accident circumstances, you would be entitled to make a claim for compensation against your employer as they are duty bound to ensure that you have the appropriate PPE for the tasks you’re expected to undertake.

Please contact us on 0800 073 8804 to discuss his claim further and we can provide some detailed advice.
