Can I claim if I still get my wage when I'm off sick?

I've fell off a set of ladders from about 10foot plus and fractured and broke my ankle . I've had to have surgery to have plates and screws put in, I was wondering if I was to put a claim in would the work place stop paying me? Can I put in a claim if I'm getting paid my full wage ?

Hey Norned. In short, yes you still can make a claim, a workplace injury claim can be made regardless of whether you receive your full wage or not. A lot of people are only earn SSP when off work with an injury and have the option to make a claim for loss of earning within the injury claim. If you still get your full wage then you do the claim exactly the same except you wouldn't qualify for loss of earnings
