Can I claim if I've been hurt by glass in work?

I'm a waitress, and when taking a bag of rubbish out the bag had a broken glass in. As I've put it up to go in the bin the glass had shredded through the bag and cut me, i've had seven stitches. Can I claim for this??

Hey Greark, you can claim for that absolutely. Any kind of shards should be disposed of safely and appropriately to prevent this kind of thing from happening. Putting them in a bin bag isn't a sensible thing to do so it's not your fault this has happened, So I'd look for someone who can help you pop a claim in for it if I were you
