I slipped on a piece of fruit on the floor in a supermarket whilst carrying my daughter. I suffered bruising to my knees and hip. Can I make a claim for compensation for a slip and fall accident in a supermarket?
I reported the accident to the store and the manager came and apologised to me and offered me a £30 voucher for the store which I turned down because I was insulted by the offer.
There were no hazard signs or warning notices and there was other bits of food n the floor I could have also slipped on so it was dangerous and I took some pictures of the area where I slipped on my mobile.
I did not seek any medical attention as I did not feel it necessary at the time but I am going to my GP to get my knee looked at as I am still having trouble walking.
I have pictures as photographic evidence of the swelling and bruising on my knee and hip, how much compensation could I receive for a minor knee and hip injury.
Thank you
