Can I still claim compensation for a work related injury that was sustained in an accident 2 years ago.
What is the time limit to make a claim for an accident at work?
I am a security guard on an industrial site and I have to do patrols regularly in between the bunkers to check the perimeter of the site, my required patrol rout takes me off the path and up a slope where I had a slip and fall and injured my self.
I feel they are liable to making me walk up a dangerous, slippery surface as a mandatory part of my security check.
I slipped down a grass bank walking from one work unit to another ended with ankle fractures requiring two separate operations and a torn ACL ligament injury where I snapped my tendon.
I will not be able to walk properly for a few months and I have missed a lot of work.
Can I claim compensation for personal injuries from an accident at work against my employer?
And if I make a case against the company will I able to go back to my old job if I get a pay out?
Any free legal advice would be very helpful
