I am seeking some advice as my wife tripped on a pavement and fractured her ankle.
This resulted in her having a plaster cast which is non load bearing and we have had to make significant changes to our lives We have not written to the local council yet but have telephoned them.
she was walking back to our daughter's residence and her foot got trapped in a hole/dip in the pavement, she fell over and broke her ankle.
She called a ambulance and after an hour they took her to the hospital.
The triage team bound her leg up and placed an ankle support and they made an appointment for her for the following day to the general hospital fractures unit.
We went to the hospital and after xrays and had plaster cast fitment, this is standard practice.
I have a report from the doctor saying her injuries are related to the accident.
Can we claim compensation for a broken ankle off the council for a trip & fall accident over a faulty pavement?
How much compensation could we be entitled to for a trip and fall accident on a broken pavement leading to a broken ankle?
