Parent died as a result of being driven into on a zebra crossing, are we entitled to make a claim for compensation as his children?
My father was in a fatal pedestrian accident and died, he was crossing the road properly and safely at the traffic lights, the lights were on red for the traffic to stop so he cant be blamed for thinking it was safe.
The other party was driving their car safely as well but they say they just lost control of the vehicle and couldn't stop the car going forward in time and hit my dad hard as he crossed, he hit the bonnet and was then thrown to the floor as the car stopped.
The doctors in the hospital said he had severe head injuries and died from the brain trauma.
the driver of the car that killed my father has admitted liability and we have already spoke to the police about the incident at the scene and they are making a report.
Can I make a compensation claim for the loss of parents life due to road traffic accident, he was an important provider to the household with many dependents, how much money could we be entitled to for the loss of a family member like this?
