If my daughter is hurt in school who do I see to claim compensation, is the school or council liable for injuries to a child on school premises?
my child of 5 years had a bad accident in reception from tripping and falling over injuring her head on the school/reception premises, they were in the entrance hall way when they tripped on a door step that made an uneven surface and was a tripping hazard.
She fell and landed on their head and the accident could have been worse and its not the first time its happened, the same dangerous walkway has caught her feet and tripped her before but this time was terrible, I think the school or teachers are responsible for making it safe for pupils and didn't even have warning signs up.
She was taken to hospital just in case her head or brain injuries were severe and had a MRI scan causing her a lot of stress and trauma as well as being in pain.
Can I claim against the school with getting dismissed or expelled and prevent this from happening again? Is there any more compensation for personal injuries from accidents is that took place in school?
