Fall at work injured shoulder and knees, what can I do to claim compensation from employer?

i had a fall at work and have now returned .I however do seem to have some pain from time to time and don't know what to do about it.

I was trying to move some goods in a warehouse on some racking, I fell of a shelve about 5 ft high maybe slipped and landed on my knee and shoulder and severely hurt my back, I went to hospital but they said to go home and keep walking and take pain killers for the back pain.

I had to use a forklift to get up on to the shelving, nut sure if your supposed to do that, Ive had no manual handling training and I'm not fully qualified, I just did to move the boxes but could this affect the outcome of my claim? I think my manager reported the incident in the accident book but I had to take a week off work, should I tell my employer to pay me?

if someone could give me some free legal advice maybe I could make a claim for compensation? but if I do would I be fired from my job, I really don't want to get laid off either. IF I enter into no win no fee agreement will l be liable for costs if don't win?

Hi there,

Thank you for your enqury.

From what you have advised, I am please to advise that you would qualify for a claim.

This claim would not be allowed to affect your job.

We would send you on a Medical and allow an independent medical expert to review your injuries. Using their report, we will be able to value your claim.

We would also be able to claim back any loss of earnings is she requires time off.

Should you have any questions, please contact us on our online chat, or dial our free number (0800 073 8804). We will be happy to help!
