Last month I was shopping and I slipped and fell on a slippery floor in a shop and dislocated my knee.
Supermarket they have said that its there fault but I'd like to no what my claim is worth before I make a case for compensation, I was with my children who witnessed the fall along with plenty of other shoppers as the store was really busy for Christmas rush when I had a bad slip on a wet surface with no warning signs around.
Clearly a member of staff had mopped up some sort of spillage on the isle and left the walkway dangerously slippery, because it was also quite greasy or soapy as well as wet, this was a real hazard as I could have easily fallen and banged my head on the hard ground, but I tripped and fell heavy with all my weight on my knee, I was really hurt and couldn't get up on my own, a member of staff helped me to my feet and took me to the back where the manager came and checked if I was alright, they agreed they were liable as there was no wet floor sign in sight.
The store owner reluctantly let me film a video of the CCTV monitor images of the accident on my phone camera and then called for a ambulance, I went to hospital with the paramedics because I couldn't walk home and after waiting 3 hours in A&E emergency in agony, the doctors told me I had severely injured my leg, dislocating my knee cap and I had also sprained my wrist, I have been unable to work and lost wages, not to mention the painful swelling and bruises on my knee and hand, I need assistance for simple things now.
Could I get some free legitimate advice from legal expert on how much the pay out for this type of incident could be? and how much would a solicitor charge me to process my claim?
Thank you
