How much compensation can claim for a broken leg and six weeks off from an accident at work?

I had a slip and fall accident at work that was not my fault and I would like to claim compensation.
I was working in an office building and the cleaners had mopped the floor leaving it slippery and wet without leaving any wet floor signs out and as I was leaving I sipped and fell down the stairs breaking my leg, can I claim compensation from my employer?
How much compensation am I entitled to for a broken leg from a slip and fall accident at work?

Hi William,

I am sorry to hear of your accident. From what you have advised, you are eligible to make a personal injury claim.

We have to obtain what is known as a medico-legal report to support any claim for personal injury compensation. This is a straight forward process and we would take care of this and arrange the appointment for you. Once we have that report we would know how much your claim is likely to be worth. Generally speaking it depends on how long it takes you to recover. From the injuries you have explained, if the injuries last around 12 months than you could receive around £5,000 upwards.
