How much compensation can I claim for a fractured knee from a slip and fall accident at work?

I'm just wondering what case for compensation I would have against my employer.

The other week at work there was water or some slippery liquid on the floor outside the office door, there was no wet floor or warning signs and I was told to go see the manager and I slipped and fell on the tiles causing injury to my right kneecap, I never broke it or severely injured it and wasn't able to go to hospital.

I went to A&E after work and the doctors in the hospital did an x ray and told me I had fractured my knee and I have been signed off work.
How much compensation could I be entitled to and can I claim for not being allowed to seek medical attention?

Thank you for your enquiry.

This must have been incredibly painful.

I am pleased to advise that based on the accident circumstances, you would be entitled to make a claim for compensation against you employer.

In relation to your question regarding how much compensation you will receive, this is entirely dependent upon medical evidence. Medical evidence is obtained to both prove causation (the injuries where sustained as a direct result of the incident that has occurred) and provide a basis upon which we as your legal representative can accurately place a valuation upon your claim. However, as an estimate, based on the information you have provided, we believe that you could receive up to £5,500.00
