How much compensation can I claim for a fractured scaphoid from an accident at work?

I have injured my hand/wrist at work and I would like to claim compensation.
I was using a piece of machinery at work that workers had made multiple complaints about, because it was faulty I fractured my scaphoid and had to go to hospital, how much could my claim be worth?
Also work are only paying me SSP can I still claim back the wages I have missed as loss of earnings?
