How much compensation can I claim for a stab wound to my body from a criminal attack?

I was jumped a few weeks a go by a gang of young men, they battered me and robbed me and when I was fighting back I was stabbed several times in the abdomen.

I have had to have surgery and a lot stitches put in, apparently I am lucky if I do not have any life long injuries as I am due back in hospital tomorrow.
How much compensation could I be entitled to for stab wounds to my stomach?
