How much compensation can I claim for loss of vision from an eye injury at work?

I was working in a super store shop, I was stacking the shelves and we had a very poorly stacked cage full of products brought out and when we opened it the stock fell out and I was able to catch some but a box hit me in the face and hurt my eye.

I had a black eye and have been told from going to my doctors and opticians that this has lead to some loss of vision, how much compensation could I be entitled to?

Thank you for your enquiry.

This must have been incredibly painful.

I am pleased to advise that based on the accident circumstances, you would be entitled to make a claim for compensation against your employer.

In relation to your question regarding how much compensation you will receive, this is entirely dependent upon medical evidence. Medical evidence is obtained to both prove causation (the injuries where sustained as a direct result of the incident that has occurred) and provide a basis upon which we as your legal representative can accurately place a valuation upon your claim. However, as an estimate, based on the information you have provided, we believe that you could receive up to £7,650.00,,however, if the incident has affected your eye sight permanently, you may be entitled to more compensation.

Please contact us on 0800 073 8804 to discuss this claim further and we can provide some detailed advice.
