How much compensation can I claim for nerve damage and a prolapsed disc from an accident at work?

I was working as a sales assistant is a major superstore and I had an accident that was not my fault, I was carrying a heavy box of drinks and slipped a little on some food that was left on the floor, probably by a customer and I threw out my back, do I have a claim for compensation?
The doctor in my GP told me I have a prolapsed disc and sciatica nerve damage, how much compensation could I be entitled to?

Thank you for your enquiry.

I am sorry to read about your accident at work.

I am pleased to advise that based on the accident circumstances, you would be entitled to make a claim for compensation against your employer.

In relation to your question regarding how much compensation you will receive, this is entirely dependent upon medical evidence. Medical evidence is obtained to both prove causation (the injuries where sustained as a direct result of the incident that has occurred) and provide a basis upon which we as your legal representative can accurately place a valuation upon your claim. However, as an estimate, based on the information you have provided, we believe that you could receive up to £6,920.00.

Please contact us on 0800 073 8804 to discuss this claim further and we can provide some detailed advice.
