I am a self employed labourer and currently work for the Kier construction group and would like to claim compensation for a work related injury.
I was moving a load of steel sheets with a co worker and had an accident at work that was not my fault and lost a small part of my finger bone and lost all of the skin off the finger, no one is at fault but I am seeing if I can still claim compensation.
A piece of steel just slipped whilst loading and I didn't get my hand out of the way quick enough in time, I went to hospital and I am currently still having work done on the injury.
The incident was not reported in the accident book and it wasn't really anybody's would I still be able to make a claim for my personal injury if no one is personally liable?
How much compensation could I be entitled to for partial amputation of finger in a an accident at work?
If I lose in court would I still be liable for legal cost or solicitors fees or can I go ahead on a no win no fee basis?
