How much compensation could my son receive for a trip fall accident at school with a broken wrist?

My son had an accident at school 3 years ago, am I still in time to claim or is there a time limit on when you can claim compensation?

He had a bad trip and fall accident in the school playground, he was running around with his friends when he caught his shoe in a little pot hole in the school yard concrete, tripped over, went flying and fell down so hard he broke his wrist in two places.

He was in agony and panicking because he was clearly seriously injured and the head teacher did not even call an ambulance, instead she called me and said to me come and see if I think he needs to go for medical attention?

So I had to take him my self, the doctors took an x ray where you can clearly see the brake in the bone.

I have a picture of the pot hole on my phone as evidence.

He still has problems with the wrist, he can not turn his arm properly because it is so painful, so I would like to claim compensation on his behalf.

Can legal expert provide me a no win no fee solicitor to claim compensation from the school for negligence?

many thank

Hi Elle,

Thank you for the enquiry. I am sorry to hear of your son's injury.

I am happy to advice that your son would be eligible to make a compensation claim.

We have to obtain what is known as a medico-legal report to support any claim for personal injury compensation. This is a straight forward process and we would take care of this and arrange the appointment for your son. Once we have that report we would know how much your son's claim is likely to be worth. Generally speaking it depends on how long it takes him to recover. From the injuries you have explained, if the injuries last over 12 months than your son could receive around £6,000 upwards.
