Hurt on purpose by resident in care home, how can I make a claim for compensation from employer?

I have had an injury in my work setting part off it my fault but the other fault was of a resident who hasn't been properly assesed for moving and handling.

I was getting a service user dressed and he physically twisted my arm right up my back and I've damaged my shoulder and I have been of work in the sick for two weeks and had medication and waiting physio treatment for injury, is there anything I can do as my manger hasn't bothered to find out why or what has happened and i went back to work today on amended duties but really struggling, I know I'm going to have to take more time off from the job and going to lose wages

So I want to see if I can claim against my employer for my injury damages and for loss of earnings but I would also like to keep my job and not get sacked if I do make a case

Can legalexpert provide me with some free legal advice as to what action I should take next?
