I had a bad trip and fall accident and injured my self in a clothes store, can I claim compensation?
I was shopping in a high street super store in Liverpool city centre, it was about 12 o'clock and the shop was really busy.
The crowds of shoppers and cluttered clothes hangers made it difficult to even see the floor and you had to look where you are going anyway, I tripped over and fell on my arm hard.
I caught my shoe on a strap on bra that was lying near the middle of the walkway, it was a tripping hazard and anyone could have fell over on it, my feet went from under me and I tried to save my self but just hurt my elbow instead.
I was embarrassed and did not want to make a scene so I got my self to my feet and went home and just put up with the pain.
The next day when I still couldn't extend my arm for the pain I went to see my GP, the doctor told me I had fractured my elbow and that I would need my arm in a sling for a few weeks.
Can I make a claim for a personal injury in a shop like this?
