I have been assaulted and suffered a broken jaw, can I claim compensation from the person who attacked me?

I was attacked in a shop by an angry, drunk, aggressive and violent customer, I was attacked for no reason and the police were called and they have been arrested.

I had to go to a&e in an ambulance and at the hospital I found out I have a severe concussion and a broken jaw, how much compensation could I claim?
