I was injured staying in a hotel room, how much can I claim?

Hello,

I was staying in a cheap hotel in London, there was an old rusty nail or pin sticking up on the floor on the veranda / balcony, I stood on it and it went through the sole of my slipper into my foot.
I had to go to A and E and had a tetanus shot and have been limping ever since, how much compensation could I be entitled to claim for an injury like this?
