I've been burned form petrol station accident

Hiya. Was filling my car up the other day and the pump hose was broken, it sprayed petrol all over me and my clothes. It's been a few days now and I ended up in hospital because my arms are covered in burns from the petrol. When I reported it to the staff they just apologised, didnt offer any help at all.
Can I make a claim against them because the pain in my arms is going to prevent me from working for a few weeks I expect. TIA.

Hiya Yourty, that sounds terrible, you'd think a somewhere like a petrol station would take more care with these things given they deal with petrol! You can definitely claim against them for the burns, even if the staff did nothing to help or report it there should be CCTV evidence at least. Hope your burns heal up soon.
