Minor injuries from non fault car accident, other driver careless, can we claim?

Shannon

My husband was involved in a small car accident this morning that was not his fault, it was only a bump but the other driver is clearly at fault because he was driving dangerously, and went right into the back of our car while moving slowly in end to end traffic.
It was not a full force collision but my husband is now complaining his back is hurting and has a doctor's appointment this evening and I am worried about him because he is elderly and already struggles with some day to day tasks.

The other driver was on his phone and did not stop to check if he was alright, my husband got his licence registration plate number and we would like to make a claim against him.

I have made a report to the police because I feel like it was a hit and run the way he crashed and left him.

How much compensation could we claim for small injuries and endangerment through careless driving?

And will claiming effect our insurance price or no claims bonus?

Also we are looking a no win no fee solicitor to claim our compensation for personal injury, can legal expert help us?i was just looking for a rough guide to compensation for whiplash and shoulder injury after a none fault accident

Hi Shannon,

I am sorry to hear of your husband's accident.

From what you have advised, your husband is eligible to make a claim.

You will be making the claim through the Third party's insurance so it will not affect your insurance at all.

We have to obtain what is known as a medico-legal report to support any claim for personal injury compensation. This is a straight forward process and we would take care of this and arrange the appointment for your husband. Once we have that report we would know how much your husband's claim is likely to be worth. Generally speaking it depends on how long it takes you to recover. From the injuries you have explained, if the injuries last around 3 months than you could receive around £2,1000.

We would accept your claim on a no win no fee basis.
