Nursery claim

Hi, my 2 year old had an injury to her face, just under her eye at nursery a month ago and it has left a small scar. A member of staff was carrying a bed the children use to sleep on and slipped and hit her in the face. She had a bad gash and was badly bruised as a result. We took her straight to A&E where the staff said we should make a complaint as that should not happen. Where do we stand as to regards making a claim as she will now probably have this scar all her life

Hi, Bund. Sorry to hear that, I hope your daughter is okay.
You definitely have ground to make a claim against the nursery for this, if they made any sort of accident report be sure to request a copy as further evidence to what happened. You can use that to go to a solicitor who would assess the case and put a claim forward on you and your daughters behalf against the nursery's insurance.
