My uncle was involved in RTA this Sunday and he is currently in hospital, when he was driving home in his car and the driver behind hit him in the back, my uncle claims he was stuck in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic when the other party rammed into him out of no where.
The other driver must have lost control of their vehicle and sped into my uncles car at speed and with force, the impact of the collision, he says, made him jerk and strain his spine and damaged his licence plate, which he is worried about getting into trouble about.
My uncle says the other driver is obviously at fault and he got out apologised and admitted liability for the incident.
He then continued to go home from work but said his back pain deteriorated as he drove on the journey and by the time he got in his house had to lie down and couldn't get comfortable for the stiff aching in his neck and the shooting pain swelling in his lower back.
Can my uncle make a claim for compensation for personal injuries against the driver who rear ended him, and if so how much money can he be entitled to in a payout?
