Hello, I had a fall in the toilet of a pub where I am employed last night and have injured my leg , can I get some advice?
I work behind a bar and I was walking in to the cubicle in the mens room, floor was covered in muddy water/urine. I did not notice as there was no wet floor sign.
My knee is slightly sore, joint wise but I have an ongoing pain there that I am due to start physio for, I think it's going to be bruised, the area hurts when walking, feels like a muscle damage. I also twisted my neck when slipping and it is stiff and aching, I don't think I fell to the floor but my body collided with the door and I jerked my back.
And this was at approx 9 - 10 so the pub / bar was busy as normal so this could have happened to anyone
I have not yet sought medical help, as no bruising has come out right away, but I am starting to feel pain.
There were two witnesses and I've got photographic evidence of the floor with no sign etc
Does claiming compensation from my employer make me liable for any charges if I lose??
