Slip and fall accident in a supermarket I slipped on a wet floor and dislocated my shoulder, what can I claim?

I had a nasty slip and fall accident in a supermarket, I would like to claim compensation for an injury I sustained.

I was shopping in a a superstore and I was on the drinks isle when I slipped on what I presume to be water that had spilled or leaked out of the bottles on the shelf, because it was clear and I could not see it.
There were no warning hazard signs or any one working on the isle in sight.

I was walking as normal and slipped quickly and fell over and landed hard, I flipped over forwards a bit and landed on my shoulder, I got up to my feet on my own and went to make a complaint to a member of staff, they were very apologetic and called me an ambulance because I was in agony and could not lift up my arm.

The doctors told me I had dislocated my shoulder and I will need to have my arm in a sling for a couple of weeks and I will have to go through physiotherapy after.

How much compensation could I claim for an accident in the supermarket like this?

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sorry to hear about your injury. Based on the details you've provided, it sounds like you may have a strong case for compensation. You could potentially claim for both general damages (pain, suffering, and impact on your life) and special damages (financial losses such as medical costs, lost income, and travel expenses).
The exact amount will depend on the severity of your injury, the length of recovery, and the specific circumstances of the incident, you could be looking up to £12,000 for general damages alone. Supermarkets have a duty of care to ensure their premises are safe, and the lack of warning signs or timely clean up suggests possible negligence.
