I had a fall in general food store when I slipped and fell on a piece of food.
To cut a long story short, I have injured my hand, several trips to the hospital for MRI scans and other X-rays and another visit to see the consultant who told me I had broken my hand and fractured my wrist and forearm, my arm is swollen, bruised and very painful, I cant use my hand fully anymore or make a fist, this has stopped me working and been an inconvenience as I have had to wear a splint since the first trip to see the doctors, I feel I should be compensated for my injuries and reimbursed for loss of earnings as this is the stores fault.
I was asked on the initial trip to the hospital if I had signed an accident report form. I hadn't, so this prompted me to call the store and ask the manager what their procedure was. Their customer service has been really poor. I have had to chase them up for a reply on several occasions, so I wrote to head office to see if they had received information from the store re about the incident, this is what staff told me the proper procedure is, someone said they would look into it and let me know what their findings were, a week later I sent an email to ask what had happened if anything, 2 weeks later I sent another email to say that I was disappointed and frustrated with the whole affair and that I would take the matter further and get a solicitor and go to court. The next day I received £30.00 worth of vouchers, I find a £30.00 voucher, which I will have to spend in their store an insult.
Can legalexpert.co.uk sue the company and get me compensation for my injuries and damages on a no win no fee basis?
