Son had an accident at school, head injuries required stitches, how much compensation can we claim?

Hi, I am trying to do a bit of research on the law, to see if I claim compensation on behalf of my child.

My son had an accident at school that was not his fault, they have revolving double doors in the main corridor hallway and he was pushed by another pupil accidentally, other children were messing with the door over spinning it and he fell head first in between the doors and his head got caught and was crushed.

He ended up with a big gash hole cut in his head and needed to go to hospital in an ambulance where he got 6 stitches after waiting for hours in A and E and the doctors said he had concussion.

This was nearly 3 weeks ago and he is still having some side effects, he is in pain, suffers from headaches, the stitching has not healed and he his traumatised from the incident.

I may not be looking to put a claim in but am trying to find out what the school should legally be doing about it before I meet them this week.

Can I claim compensation for my child if they had an accident at school?

How much compensation could my child be entitled to for head injuries sustained in an accident at school?
