I have had a bad trip and fall accident down an old stair case.
Last year I stayed at a hotel in Manchester and fell down the staircase. I didn't alert anyone at the time, as there was no one around and the hotel hadn't started to get busy, but I was with my son who was a witness to the accident.
The stair case was years old and had a loose and dangerous carpet covering the treads and steps, I caught my toes and tripped over, I saved my self on the bannister but jolted my foot and this severely twisted my ankle.
I thought I had just sprained my ankle at the time but my ankle has not recovered and I have had to have surgery last week as I have torn a tendon and damaged ligaments.
Do I have a claim? as I didn't report it when it happened but I was hurt because of a hazardous public stair way with no warning signs so premier inn must be liable, I am unsure of what to do.
Will I have to pay any fees if I make a unsuccessful claim or can I get a solicitor on a no win no fee basis?
