Tripped, fell and fractured my ankle in accident at work, can I claim compenstion from employer?

I have had an accident at work that I feel was not my fault and the accident could have been avoided with proper safe working practice and protocol.

I fractured my ankle at work due to uneven ground, is it possible to make a claim?

I was walking inside the building site where I am employed when I tripped on some uneven walkway on the floor and my foot went from under me, twisting my ankle badly, I fell and struggled to get up and walk afterwards, it was concrete ground that was a few inches higher along the corridor.

I have had to take time off work because I am limping and not walking properly.

I'm an agency worker and they would have somebody else on site now so I probably cant get take photos on my phone for picture evidence of the hazard to show how dangerous it was, I reported it to the site manager but he said that he reported the incident as a near miss in the accident book in the office, but I cant get to the accident book to make sure it was officially reported, but I know he wrote some notes of what happened in his diary.

Can I make a claim against the site owners for my damages and loss of earnings without getting laid off, or affecting my ability to get employed through the agency again?

How much could I claim for my personal injury?

Many Thanks

Thank you for your enquiry.

I am sorry to hear of your accident and your injuries.

I am pleased to advise that from what you have explained, you would qualify in making a personal injury claim.

We have to obtain what is known as a medico-legal report to support any claim for personal injury compensation. This is a straight forward process and we would take care of this and arrange the appointment for you. Once we have that report we would know how much you claim is likely to be worth. Generally speaking it depends on how long it takes you to recover. From the injuries you have explained, if the injuries last around 12 months than you could receive around £6,500 upwards.

We would accept your claim on a no win no fee basis.
