I had an accident in work that was not my fault, I am a Restaurant employee and had a slip and fall accident and injured my arm.
I slipped on a chip on the floor in a restaurant and I went flying and whacked my arm, fortunately not broken but its really bruised, I went to the hospital after work and waited for hours in agonising pain in A and E, I had x rays on my arm and was told I had fractured my elbow.
Restaurant management saw the accident and came straight over to see if I was OK and logged the incident in the accident book, they asked if I was alright to continue working and I said I would stay because I need the money but I was in a lot of pain and my arm was stiff and hard to move.
Can I still claim if I had an accident at work but did not go straight to hospital?
Since I had medical attention I have had my arm in a sling and been given a 3 week prognosis off work.
Will I be able to claim for loss of earnings from a slip and fall accident in he Restaurant?
