Work injury

On Tuesday the 18th at around 4 o clock, whilst I was in the warehouse carrying cardboard boxes at work, I tripped over a floorboard that was sticking out, causing me to fall forwards and land hard on both of my knees, but mainly my left. This accident was captured on CCTV and I have more than one witness. This piece of metal/floorboard was noted many times and had not been fixed. After my accident I was sent home from work. I went to the hospital and I have a letter saying I attended the hospital. The nurse looked at my knee for a minute and said I would be fine in a few days. However, I am still in pain a few days later, and feel that I could be unable to come to work in a few days. I would like to act against my employer in order to prevent this negligence from happing again.

Hi Pentat. I hope your injury heals soon. You would be best to contact a solicitor about what happened and they can put a claim forward against your workplace's liability insurance. Try and get a copy of the CCTV if possible as that would be key evidence in a claim
