Work related leg injury, strained abductor muscle unable to work, can I claim compensation?

Hiya, I would like to get some free legal advice about claiming compensation for a work related injury.

I did not have an accident but I suffered a abductor strain at work due to lifting turf.
Lifting heavy material into a barrow I pulled a muscle inside my leg, it is very painful and I cannot really walk or put any weight on it.

A hammer was used to break up an old walkway made of asphalt but the boss was putting us under pressure to get the job done quickly and remove the broken debris.
We should have waited for a digger or scoop or some other heavy machinery to remove to rocks but we were pressurised into doing very heavy work manually using a wheelbarrow.

Where would I stand on a claim, its not exactly a breach of health and safety but we were pushed into hurting and straining our selves.
Have been off work 4 weeks but have now been told my sick pay stops this week and my legs don't feel any better.

Can I claim compensation for a work related injury from my employer?

And will I be able to claim for any time I was unable to work and earn money?
