My son had an accident in a public place and I would like to know if I can claim compensation for him?
i have a 6year old boy who was riding a push bike down a path in our local park when he hit his head on a foot path railing you can hold to go down a slope.
The metal fencing was hazardous and needed repairing or moving as it has very sharp points, which seem like they are fixed the wrong way and he hit his head on the sharp part witch gave him a hole in this head what needed 4 needle stitches.
He has a big scar and 3 cuts to the face and swollen eyes and bruises to his head, this happened a few days ago and I have pictures of the scene of the incident as photographic evidence.
I called the paramedics who came to the scene and also said the obstacle was a danger and they took my child to hospital.
Can I sue the local council for a public health hazard?
And how much compensation could my son receive for his damages?
