Can I claim compensation for food poisoning on an excursion on a package holiday?

Me and my wife booked a holiday to Spain with the travel agent TUI, during our holiday we went on a day trip excursion on a boat and this included lunch, one we were off the boat we both became very ill and were throwing up for days, Can we claim back part of the cost of our holiday for a food poisoning claim? Can we claim for food poisoning on a booked holiday activity throught the tour operator?
