Can I claim compensation for poisoning is a foreign hotel?

I was on a package holiday with First choice in Spain, we were staying at an all inclusive hotel provided by the travel agent, I contracted food poisoning from the hotel canteen, I know the stomach bug came from the hotel kitchen because we never ate at any restaurants or anywhere else, am I eligible for compensation for food poisoning in a Spanish hotel?
