Dad has had a fall

MY elderly dad has had a fall in a shop. He was doing the weekly shop when he slippe don some discarded plastic from where they stocked the shelves. We took him to hospital the next day as he was complaining of pain and it turns out he broke his hip. Is it too late to make a claim as we aren’t doing it on the day it happened.

Hi, I hope your dad's okay. I'm sorry to hear this.
When an accident like that has happened you have 3 years form the accident date to make a claim. For example if I had an accident on the 15/03/2022 then I have up until the 15/03/2025 to make a claim for it. As long as it's within those 3 years a solicitor should take the case on for you and your dad.
