i misjudged my step getting on a train, i was stepping onto the train and i missed the step so my leg went down between the train and the platform, nothing in particular cause me to have this accident but when they say "mind the gap", my leg went down in the gap and got trapped, my leg bone was broken, the muscle torn and my ligaments ripped and now I'm left with nerve damage the doctors have said, I cannot walk properly and have a limp and will be recovering for a long time.
I did not report the incident at the train station because I had to be rushed straight to hospital in an ambulance because I was in agony at the time and obviously seriously injured but I imagine that there is CCTV video evidence from the platform.
I know it sounds stupid but I think the gap is a bit of a death trap and my damages are physically very serious, ive been in a wheel chair and will be on crutches for a long time?
Can I sue the station or the network for my injury and can I claim back loss of earning, as ive been out of work for a long time, I feel they owe me a lot of money for my wages.
How can I claim compensation for an accident on public transport?
